As an author I have no faith in the ability of SOPA or PIPA to protect my copyrights. Rather I am convinced that if these laws come to pass my copyrights will be stolen by corporations who will then shut me down without allowing me to protect myself.

As an internet united we DO need to seek change to protect the copyrights and hard work of others, but draconian systems only lead down the path of darkness.
